How Wegovy works

How to take Wegovy
- Inject once a week
- The same day each week, with or without food. Rotate injection sites between the stomach, thigh and upper arm.
- Four weeks per step
- Starting at 0.25mg, the dose rises in stages. Each step is held for about four weeks before the next.
- Keep it cool
- Store in the fridge between 2 and 8 degrees, away from the freezer compartment.

Weight management treatment is usually continued for as long as it is working and well tolerated. Stopping often leads to some weight returning, so your prescriber will talk through a plan rather than an end date.
Can I take it with other medicines?
Often, but not always. It can affect how quickly other tablets are absorbed, and it needs care alongside diabetes medication. List everything you take on your assessment and the prescriber will check.
How does the assessment work?
You answer a short set of questions about your health, your history and what you are hoping for. A UK registered prescriber reads every answer. If anything needs clarifying we contact you before your order is dispensed, and if the treatment is not appropriate we say so and explain why.
How is my order delivered?
In plain, unbranded packaging by tracked delivery, usually within one to two working days of being approved. Nothing on the outside indicates what is inside or who it came from.
